angelou wrote her first autobiography with out the intention of writing a series, she han open her life to public secrutiny through her work. angelou was the first americean woman to direct amajor motion picture, she wrote a book call Caged Bird and this episodic and crafted like a series of short stories, angelou use the same editor throughout her writing career, her career includs poetry, plays, screenplays,for television and film, directing, acting and public spiking. in 1977 she appeared in a supporting rule in the television mini series roots, in 2006 she had a cameo in medeas family reunion as may. angelou was hailed as a new kind of memorist one of the first African American women who was able to publicily discuss her personal life.
